Cinderella

Cinderella is a beautiful fairytale that captures themes of independence, and the loss of control. Ultimately, the story shows a girl who, despite consistent mistreatment from her family, remains kind to all. It reminds us that kindness is a trait that will always be rewarded. In my scenic design of this production, I wanted to highlight the overwhelming feeling of Cinderella's stepsisters by filling the stage with trees that overpower her. Throughout the production, these trees move and shift offstage until they are no longer central to her story.
